Something that really stood out to me about Sri Lanka, from a surfing point of view, was just how wave-rich the south coast is, with something for surfers of all levels. There are so many different breaks within a relatively small stretch of coastline, making it such a special destination for a surf trip with a little something for everyone.

When I first visited, I had this vision that one day I’d bring a Girls on Board crew back here. This was long before our overseas surf trips were even a thing. And now that dream is becoming a reality!!

Which is exactly why we’ve chosen Sri Lanka for our 2027 surf trip.

We’re so stoked to be teaming up with Liam, his mum Helen and the crew from Lotus Surf & Wellness. Originally from the Gold Coast, Liam and Helen have called Sri Lanka home for more than 10 years. After falling in love with the place, they created their very own Surf & Wellness Retreat in Ahangama - a beautiful space only 100 m from the beach that brings together their love of surfing, wellness and Sri Lankan life.

For the week, we’ll be taking over the entire property and making Lotus our home. 🤎

Think tropical gardens, our own private pool, warm water, yoga, delicious food, plenty of surfing and a beautiful space to come back to, unwind and enjoy a cold bev at the end of each day.

A new country, new waves to explore, and another week of doing what we love most with an incredible group of women.

This trip will run just like our others, we’re there to surf & have a good time.

It’s not really a retreat. Think surf trip with our own GOB flare. A little more relaxed than a retreat, a little more like an epic girls trip with a group of people who are likely to be your besties after day 1.

There’ll be plenty going on throughout the week, but nothing is compulsory. Join in when you feel like it & take some time for yourself when you don't.

Yoga will be available daily for those who want it, but if yoga isn't your thing, no pressure!
